“It is rare for me to meet a student who embodies all of the ideals I expect a student to demonstrate. Victoria is one of the few students to accomplish that feat. She is kind, polite, focused, brilliant and quite gifted. However, her most admirable trait to me is her courage.

Nelson Mandela famously stated, “I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear”. Vicki has suffered from performance anxiety in her past. Yet, she repeatedly chose to rise to the occasion to perform as a pianist and accompanist at different performances, both within and outside of school.
